After a short but successful run last summer, The Last Days of Disco upped sticks and made the move up the Kingsland Road from Shoreditch to Dalston, where they are busy making themselves at home under a furniture shop at Barden’s Boudoir.

From Donna Summer to the DFA, Last Days launches you into a parallel universe where dirty dubbed out disco rules the roost, the streets are paved with the shit from Bianca Jagger’s horse and the girl down the chip shop thinks she’s Grace Jones.

This month Last Days welcomes down, Jonny Burnip and Nathan Gregory Wilkins, the brains behind one of our favourite new record labels History Clock. Only 4 releases old the label has already made a name for itself with it’s rediscovered and re-edited selections covering rock, primitive electronics, disco, soundtracks, psychedelia and just about anything else that feels good.

So exactly who’s playing?

CAPRACARA
Jonny Burnip is the latest signing to New York’s DFA record label, though he should already be familiar to those with their ears to the ground for the jacking acid twelve inch released on Soul Jazz back in 2006. Since then he has set up the exceptional History Clock label with Nathan Gregory Wilkins, released and remixed under the names Dining Rooms and Tiger Timing and is currently working with Quiet Village’s Joel Martin as Churchill’s Leopards.

NATHAN GREGORY WILKINS

Nathan Gregory Wilkins is best known as resident DJ at the now legendary Boombox parties and DJ / co-promoter of the invite only Tropical Hot Dog happenings. Nathan is a huge disco fan/collector and is well known for his obscure tastes in that field. Despite running a label together and being two of the best DJs excavating and playing leftfield disco music around, tonight will be the first time that Nathan and Jonny have ever DJed togther, a fact which baffles and delights us in equal measure.

SLUTTY FRINGE DJs
Swiftly outgrowing the tag of bloggers who DJ, Slutty Fringe’s John and Tony have been busy the past twelve months launching their own record label (Hot Pockets), throwing sold out parties all over town and increasingly finding their DJ services in demand at clubs up and down the country and throughout Europe.

DAVID H (BE)
Resident and promoter of both The Last Days of Disco and the sprawling indie/electro/disco behemoth that is Be at The Proud Gallery in Camden, David has entertained crowds the world over with his inspired disco selections.
